                  Message from the President

Hello, Everyone!

Time is just flying by.  It’s hard to believe that spring could be just around the corner.  Springtime to me means a new beginning and an end to the cold temperatures!  I can’t wait for warmer temperatures!!!  I’m really tired of the cold.

Are you working on a new project?  If so, I can’t wait to see it!  If you’re trying to get one finished and feeling like it will never get done, remember – every stitch you take gets you one stitch closer to a finished project.  Next thing you know, you’ll be bringing it to show and tell.

See you at the next meeting.

Pam  Braeckel, President

Program News

 Hello all!

Below is the project we will be making during the February workshop. Kathy Delaney will be teaching us foundation paper-piecing. The class will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and will cost $25. Feel free to stay and sew until the meeting, you may get the project finished in time for show and tell that night!!

Please email me at erin.wampler@leggett.com by February 21st to sign up!! I can email you the supply list and give you all of the specifics.

Kathy will be giving the program that night on “Color – The Mystery Solved.”

March

Carol Elmore from Manhattan, Kansas will be giving us a history lesson on aprons at the March meeting. If you have some old aprons stashed away, feel free to bring them for show and tell that night.

Carol is also an AQS certified appraiser and charges $35. If you are interested in having a quilt appraised, please let me know at the February meeting.

Sherry & I are putting some ideas together for a workshop in March. We’ll let you know the details when they get ironed out.

We will have a vendor at our March meeting,

So be sure to bring some extra $$!

(I’ll announce who in February)

Hope you are staying warm and getting a lot of projects completed!!

Erin

Also, just as a reminder once again, we still do not have a co-program chair. This is a very vital position for our guild. At this time we do not have anyone booking speakers for 2008! It just takes a little extra time to organize the speakers and sign a contract, if you have questions about this position, please see me at the February meeting.
